PROCHIEVE 8% Vaginal Progesterone Gel Achieves Primary Endpoint in Phase III Study to Reduce Risk of Preterm Birth
LIVINGSTON and MORRISTOWN, NJ— December 6, 2010 — Columbia Laboratories, Inc. (Nasdaq: CBRX) and Watson Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NYSE:WPI) today announced positive top-line results from the PREGNANT Study, a large, global Phase III clinical trial evaluating PROCHIEVE® 8% vaginal progesterone gel to reduce the risk of preterm birth in women with a short cervical length as measured by transvaginal ultrasound at mid-pregnancy.

Columbia Laboratories Amends Stockholder Rights Plan to Preserve Use of Net Operating Losses under Section 382
LIVINGSTON, NJ — November 30, 2010 — Columbia Laboratories, Inc. (Nasdaq: CBRX) today announced that its Board of Directors has amended its Stockholder Rights Plan (the "Rights Plan"), adopted March 12, 2002, to preserve the value of significant tax assets associated with the Company’s tax net operating loss carryforwards ("NOLs") under Section 382 of the Internal Revenue Code.

Columbia Laboratories Announces USPTO Notice of Allowance for Key Progesterone Preterm Birth Patent
LIVINGSTON, NJ — October 12, 2010 — Columbia Laboratories, Inc. (Nasdaq: CBRX) announced today that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has issued Watson Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NYSE: WPI) a Notice of Allowance for a key patent for the use of progesterone to treat or prevent preterm birth. The USPTO issues a Notice of Allowance to report that a patent application has been examined and is allowed for issuance as a patent. The patent is expected to issue within three months upon payment of required fees.
