Research & Development

Our R&D resources are currently focused on the opportunity for progesterone vaginal gel 8% for the reduction of risk of preterm birth in women with short uterine cervical length in the mid-trimester of pregnancy, a potential new indication for this product. We are also working, in collaboration with and funded by Actavis, to advance the progesterone product improvement program.

We have also conducted some exploratory development work to leverage our proven, proprietary drug delivery systems to develop new products for women’s health, our core area of expertise. In keeping with our strategy, we licensed rights to an early-stage product candidate for the treatment and prevention of vaginal infections and a related patent to Scientelle in July 2012.
